Animedic's vehicles created especially for the client
Animedic has always prided itself
on its ability, as a company, to listen to its clients and to produce converted
vehicles that meet their expectations in terms of quality, performance and style.
We now take great pride in announcing that not only can we continue to exceed
your expectations in all these areas, but also in terms of versatility.
Due to expansions within the company we can now offer bespoke vehicles designed
specifically to meet the needs of you, the client. We are able to work with
your company and produce any conversion that you require, be it slightly ‘tweaking’
one of our existing models, or entirely designing your own interior.
A physical expansion to our workshop, and the addition of an on-site metal-working
facility has allowed us to have ultimate control over the furniture we produce,
and the acquisition of design software allows us to ‘play through’
ideas and scenarios with the client present, enabling changes to be made at
the design stage, prior to commencement of manufacture.
Over the last six months we have had great pleasure in working with a number
of organisations to create highly specialised vehicles, tailored to precisely
meet the requirements of the individuals involved:

Organisation: PDSA
Vehicle: Pet Check 2/ Mobile Surgery (Renault Master)
Remit: To design a vehicle that could be used primarily as
an educational Pet Health Check unit for use in Schools and Communities, but
that could also be used as a Display Unit for large scale promotional events,
as well as ultimately implemented as an operational Veterinary Surgery response
vehicle in an emergency situation.
Solution: Animedic
worked with representative from the PDSA to design a versatile interior, which
included a TV screen, DVD player and computer points for running visual aids,
promotional material and presentations, as well as literature dispensers. It
also contained the standard equipment one would expect in a mobile surgery.
The vehicle was unveiled at Crufts and has proved to be a huge success.

Organisation: S.A.V.E.
Vehicle: Critical Care Unit (Renault Master)
Remit: To build a vehicle capable of carrying critically ill
animals from practices to referral units or university hospitals. Constant patient
monitoring and life-support facilities essential.
Solution: With legality and safety for the paravet as paramount,
our first concern was to develop a means for them to safely monitor the patient
whilst the vehicle was in motion, so a rear-facing seat was fitted to the rear
interior of the vehicle, and this in turn was fitted with a lap and diagonal
seat-harness. The seat was located in such a position as to allow the paravet
to have access to the oxygen unit and anaesthesia equipment whilst remaining
restrained in the seat. A walk-in, dividable kennel has facilitated the transportation
of a variety of different sized animals, providing ultimate versatility.
As well as these examples we have also produced a Mobile Neutering Clinic for
the Cats Protection League and a surgery for the Blue Cross.
