Animedic's P.E.T.S Taxi
Nothing remains static in the world of pet care. Client expectations are always
on the increase and practices are constantly looking for alternative means of
meeting these requirements.
Based on the P.E.T.S. Transmax,
the rear kennel configuration has been retained. In front of this is a folding
bench seat capable of carrying either two or three passengers comfortably, and
which has the option of being folded to create more load space for transporting
animals.
The P.E.T.S. (Pet Emergency Transfer
Service) Range has enabled many practices to provide delivery and collection
of pets to and from the surgery as a recognised service.
With this well-appointed animal transporter, practices can offer a complete
package to new and existing clients who find it difficult to attend the practice
– such as pensioners and the disabled, and of course people who are just
too busy to make the trip.
However, as this service expands, so does the need to offer clients and their
pets alternative forms of transport, or example the need to carry passengers
as well as animals has become apparent. In order to help practices meet this
customer care requirement, Animedic has introduced an additional model into
their already extensive veterinary utility range, the P.E.T.S.
Taxi.
The P.E.T.S. Taxi, finished in white for maximum exposure, carries distinctive, eye-catching
graphics showing the practice details and Veterinary Ambulance logo. These have
been designed to enhance the appearance of the vehicle to make it instantly
recognisable, giving the practice advertising opportunities twenty-four hours
a day.
The interior of the P.E.T.S. Taxi vehicle
is via twin asymmetric doors, which can be opened independently to reveal a
kennel combination consisting of two spacious stainless steel insulated canine
kennels with robust barred doors, capable of carrying two medium sized dogs.
However, in the event of a much larger animal requiring transportation, a stainless
steel partition can be removed and stored alongside.
Located on top are three strong plastic removable cat carriers, which are held
securely in place whilst the P.E.T.S. Taxi is in motion by Animedic’s
unique restraint system. The whole apparatus can be removed quickly for ease
of cleaning or to make space for occasional larger objects. The rear compartment
is separated from the rest of the P.E.T.S.
Taxi by way of a full bulkhead, which is
chemically sealed. This not only makes cleaning easier but also acts as sound
proofing for the driver in order to avoid distractions if the occupants should
become too vocal! This area is well-ventilated and is kept fresh and cool by
way of the roof-mounted air scoop. Air conditioning can also be fitted to the
vehicle to enhance the vehicle ventilation system.
Another ingenious feature of the Animedic veterinary ambulances is that the doors to the cages can be easily
opened with one hand in a single operation – invaluable when you are struggling
with an unwilling patient or have your hands full of equipment.
Located centrally in the P.E.T.S. Taxi is a folding bench seat, designed to carry
either two or three people and which is accessible through the large sliding
doors, which have the option of being glazed.
The seat has been specially developed to provide practicality with comfort,
and comes complete with inertia reel seat belts. For those specifying a three
seat version a centre lap belt is included.
Trimmed in the same material as the standard Kangoo van, the efficiency and
versatility of the P.E.T.S. Taxi will bring an added dimension to the professional care
associated with your practice.
There are numerous factory-fitted options available, together with a choice
of various petrol and diesel engine derivatives including a new common rail
1.5 diesel engine, capable of in excess of 50 miles to the gallon. The vehicle
also boasts 18,000-mile service intervals. All vehicles carry a three-year manufacturer
warranty.
This superb addition to the Animedic
range brings style, functionality and cost effective patient transport. The
bright appearance and distinctive livery will create priceless marketing and
advertising opportunities, whilst enhancing the practice’s image and adding
a valuable new dimension in customer care.
